Some emergencies send you running. Others keep you home. The Stay Home Ready Bundle is built for the second kind.

This bundle pairs the Guardian Go 4-Person Kit with the Power Outage Premium Kit, two practical home emergency survival kits available. Together, they cover your family's basic needs when the lights go out and staying put is the plan.

No scrambling. No guessing. Just one ready-made bundle that covers the bases.

This bundle saves you 10% off the individual kit prices.

Your Stay Home Survival Planner downloads automatically after purchase because a plan is just as important as the kit. It's ready for your personalization!

Like everything we sell, this bundle sends one dollar per item to the National Forest Foundation.

  • Covers food, water, light, warmth, and information for a family of four
  • Save 10% off both kits purchased separately

Who This Kit Is For

This bundle is for families of four who want to be ready to shelter in place. It's a strong fit if your area experiences winter storms, grid failures, or extended outages. It's also smart for anyone who has been meaning to get prepared but wanted one complete solution and not a piecemeal approach.

What's Included

  • Guardian Go 4-Person Home Emergency Survival Kit
  • Power Outage Premium Kit
  • Free Stay Home Survival Planner. Your download link appears on the order confirmation page right after checkout, so grab it before you close the page.

Scenarios This Kit Covers

  • Multi-day power outages from storms, grid failure, or extreme weather
  • Winter emergencies where leaving home isn't safe or possible
  • Shelter-in-place orders during regional emergencies
  • Families who want a stay-home plan separate from an evacuation kit

Pro Tips

  • Store both kits in the same spot. If they are separated, one of them will not get grabbed in a hurry.
  • The Guardian Go is your survival foundation. The Power Outage Premium is your light and information layer. They work together rather than substituting for each other.
  • Check food and water expiration dates twice a year. Pairing it with the daylight saving time changes means you never have to remember a date.
  • Walk your family through both kits before you need them. A five-minute conversation about where everything is prevents real confusion later.
  • If anyone in the house uses a device that needs power, such as a CPAP, nebulizer, or electric wheelchair, work out a backup plan specific to that device. This bundle covers general outage supplies and does not replace medical-specific planning.
  • A battery carbon monoxide detector is the one thing worth adding to a stay-home kit. It matters most exactly when the power is out and your wired one is not working.
  • Pair this bundle with a written household plan: who calls whom, where you meet, and what happens if one family member is not home. The kits cover supplies. The plan covers everything else.

Good to Know...

How long do outages actually last?

Longer than they used to. The U.S. Energy Information Administration found the average customer went about 11 hours without power in 2024, nearly double the average of the previous decade, with major storms accounting for roughly 80% of it. Strip those events out and the baseline is steady at about two hours a year.

So the ordinary outage is short. The one worth preparing for is the storm-driven one, and those run into days rather than hours. In February 2021, Winter Storm Uri left millions of Texas households without power for days in below-freezing temperatures.

Ready.gov, FEMA's preparedness campaign, recommends every household be able to manage on its own for at least 72 hours. This bundle covers that for a family of four, with the light and information layer that a long outage actually calls for.
